JCC Mission Statement
The Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore is dedicated to promoting and strengthening Jewish life and values through its programs and services to individuals, groups, and families.
As a constituent of The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore, the JCC is the agency responsible for informal Jewish education, recreation, health & fitness, cultural and communal programs and activities. It encourages Jews to understand and express the meaning of belonging to the Jewish community and their relationship to the State of Israel.
The Jewish Community Center serves as a common meeting ground for all Jews, respecting diversity of thinking and expression. In keeping with its Jewish values, the JCC is committed to enhancing the general welfare of the total community.
JCC Vision Statement
The JCC will develop, promote, and maintain a new Jewish neighborhood that strengthens and celebrates the Baltimore Jewish community by:
Maintaining that all Jews are bound together as a community and responsible for one another,
Promoting an inclusive, spirited environment that celebrates the diversity of our community, and
Developing mutually beneficial partnerships with other Jewish institutions

Jewish Community Services (JCS), a non-profit human service agency, was launched July 1, 2008 through a consolidation of four existing social service agencies - Jewish Family Services, Jewish Vocational Service, Jewish Addiction Services, and Jewish Big Brother/Big Sister League - under the auspices of THE ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore. These four original agencies have rich histories, the oldest of which dates back to 1856. Uniting the agencies into a seamless, integrated human service organization allows the opportunity to provide a broad range of services for individuals and families. In this way, the organization can more effectively respond to diverse, multi-dimensional needs of those in our community.
JCS offers:
Short term consultation services that help people address lifes challenges
Mental health services including psychotherapy, psychiatric services and addiction
treatment
Resources for seniors, caregivers, adults, parents and more
Career services to find a job, enhance career skills or start a business
Services for children and adolescents including counseling and Jewish Big Brother/Big
Sister
Teen outreach programs and services including the Mitchell David Teen Center
Prevention education programs related to addictions, HIV/AIDS and risky behaviors
Special needs services for people with disabilities, including counseling, community-based
support and residential services
Service coordination to help families, seniors and new Americans access resources and
assistance
Safety net services such as the Jewish Community Food Fund
