Maryland Surgeons - Columbia Maryland 
It has been a pleasure to be a part of this practice since its inception in 1979. Dr. Falcao is a man of vision and has formed a surgical group who shares his perspective. Our surgeons have introduced new procedures, such as laproscopic surgery and minimally invasive breast procedures to the Department of Surgery in which they hold privileges. Practicing in a teaching hospital, they have participated in the teaching and training of many surgical residents. Continual education is an integral part of our practice's success.
I enjoy the relationships we have with our patients, some of whom have been with us for fifteen to twenty years. When I see so many relatives of patients, professional colleagues and their families seeking our services, I know that speaks volumes about the confidence our patients have in our physicians.
Frequently our staff members have opportunities to be involved in outreach services in our community, our nation and on occasion to people in other countries. Combining our talents and experiences to serve the community helps to keep us humble and human while also solidifying the relationships that allow us to work as a team. It truly is a blessing to be a part of this group.

A regional leader, National Capital Preferred Provider Organization (NCPPO) offers access to a broad network of independently contracted physicians, hospitals and other health care professionals who have agreed to provide health care services at negotiated, discounted rates.
National Capital PPO networks are geographically and specialty balanced to ensure convenient access to contracted health care services.
NCPPO's medical network serves more than 100,000 enrollees who utilize the services of 23,000 physicians and other health care professionals, including more than 100 hospitals throughout Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, Delaware and portions of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. PPO enrollees have the freedom to choose any physician or health care facility, in or out-of-network, and in any state in which we do business. However, network physicians and facilities have agreed to accept discounted rates of reimbursement for treatment, so enrollees who receive medical care within the PPO network have lower out-of-pocket costs and may receive higher benefits for covered services.
NCPPO's behavioral health network includes more than 1,100 physicians and facilities in Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia. The Workers' Compensation network is comprised of more than 20,000 specialists and facilities in Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia. The national dental PPO is offered in conjunction with WellPoint Dental.
